As Founder and President of Brand at adeo, Jamie leads a team of recognized industry and tactical experts to change the way people engage with and experience clients in emerging and disrupted markets. The agency's depth of expertise in cannabis, higher ed, sustainable energy, tech startups and electoral politics has amplified bottom line growth for product brands, supported historic policy shifts at the state and local levels and redefined public narratives across earned and shared platforms.
Jamie directs brand creative and copywriting, and drives advertising and content strategy for the agency's clients. As adeo's chief questioner of convention, she works intimately with partners to think differently—supporting breakthroughs in some of the country's fastest growing markets. A pioneer in the wild-wild-west-world of cannabis marketing, her team recently earned a Clio Award for digital innovation in cannabis. Before launching adeo in 2008, Jamie trained LGBTQ candidates and advocacy organizations across the country after more than a decade managing state and federal campaigns for changemakers like Wendy Davis in Texas and Ben Cardin in Maryland. A lifelong student of women's leadership development, she has been an advisor and speaker towards the evolution of corporate programs that pursue diversity as a business advantage.
Jamie is the proud mom of twin boys, a former Division 1 soccer player, and a current or former member of several business and mission-driven organizations and boards, including Maryland NARAL, the Democratic Women’s PAC of Maryland, the Women Presidents Organization and the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. The latter is responsible for Jamie’s first (and last) bout in a casino boxing ring.
In the moments between, Jamie spends her time dreaming . . . about one day learning to play the guitar, to cook without recipes and to 'mom' like a pro. Occasional sits in the deep forest allow some acceptance of the reality that these dreams may always be just that.
